Method Of Wudhu (Hanafi)
1. Make the Intention (Niyyah)
You don't have to say it out loud; just resolve in your heart that you're performing wudu to purify yourself for prayer.
2. Say Bismillah
Say “Bismillāh” before beginning.
3. Wash Hands (x3)
Wash both hands up to and including the wrists, three times, starting with the right hand.
4. Rinse Mouth (x3)
Rinse your mouth three times using your right hand. Swish the water thoroughly.
5. Rinse Nose (x3)
Sniff water into your nostrils (not too forcefully), then expel it using your left hand, three times.
6. Wash Face (x3)
Wash the entire face three times — from the hairline to the chin and from ear to ear.
7. Wash Arms (x3)
Wash the right arm up to and including the elbow three times, then the left arm likewise.
8. Wipe Head (Masah) (x1)
Wet your hands and wipe over the head once — starting from the front hairline to the back, then back to the front.
9. Wipe Ears (x1)
Using the same wet hands, wipe the inside of the ears with the index fingers and the back of the ears with the thumbs.
10. Wash Feet (x3)
Wash the right foot up to and including the ankles three times, making sure water goes between the toes. Repeat for the left foot.
